HELLO

Congregational Care Ministry

The intent of this ministry is to have a centralized platform that will organize all the needs that are in our congregation, so those needs may be known and fulfilled.  If you would like to be a part of any of the teams or if you have a need please send us an email below!

Visitation Team
Individuals on this team will visit those in Harvest who are in the hospital or confined at home.  When a need arises, the team leader will contact you at which time you can accept the visit if able. Our hope is to have more than one person who could visit someone during a longer confinement.  Please, let us know if you would like someone from the visitation team to visit you.

Meal Train Team
At Harvest, we love supporting one another with meals.  This team will ensure that any meal trains that are created are shared with the congregation.  If you are creating a meal train for a friend at Harvest or if you would like to be on an email list to receive links to meal trains please email us below.  If you need a meal train and do not have a small group or friend starting one please contact us and we will be happy to do this.

Recommendations for Meal Trains
Create a meal train using takethemameal.com.  You will need an address, notes about the situations, when to deliver the meals, how many people will be eating, and any dietary needs.

We recommend the following for the lengths of meal trains:
  1. New Births- 4 weeks with 3 meals each week.  Gather the above information before the birth of the baby so that once the baby comes you only need to know when the parents want to start the meal train.  If there are special needs, you could extend the meal train.
  2. Bereavement- 2 weeks with 3 meals each week.
  3. Health Issues- as needed
  4. Once the meal train is active, please send the link to us below.  The Care Team will make sure that this is shared with Harvest through our private Facebook pages and emails.  The Care Team will be monitoring if a train is being filled but feel free to contact them if the meal train needs more people to sign up.

Practical Needs Team
Individuals on this team will help with practical needs within our body for those who are unable to do them.  This may include raking leaves, shoveling snow, cleaning, or other day to day tasks.  If you have a practical need or would like to practically help others please let us know below.
