1st Thessalonians: Seize the Day

1st Thessalonians: Seize the Day

“The day of the Lord will come. But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you. For you are all children of the day.” (1 Thess. 5:2, 4, 5)

Faith in Jesus gives profound meaning to our present and our future. We look ahead with hope in the day of His return. And we look for opportunities now to serve others in love. As we become more heavenly-minded, we become more earthly good.

Join us as we explore the New Testament book of 1st Thessalonians. You will be encouraged to seize the promise of the future Day of the Lord, and to seize the opportunity to live faithfully in this present day.

Philippians: Joy Unchained

Philippians: Joy Unchained

The joy of the Lord is not an absence of trouble. It is a deep, stabilizing confidence in the Lord despite all kinds of troubles. It’s the kind of joy the apostle Paul experienced even during his unjust imprisonment. Though he wrote in shackles, his letter to the Philippian church radiates a joy unchained from circumstances. This letter shows how we can find a profound joy in Jesus Christ through the best and worst that life can bring.
